When an artist truly loves music- ALL music, it shows. Ed truly loves music. His music is diverse and full of life. I heard a track here, a track there, and saw some names in collaborations I would never think possible. Curiosity peeked, I sampled the whole album and had to have it. I’ve replayed it every chance I get. Of course there are some “bops”; but, what’s an album without a “bop”? And as always, there are the melodious tracks with lyrics so relatable it’s like he read your journal. Thank you, Ed! Truly- a new fave. I love an album I can turn on and never skip a track.

Why do people criticize an artist who is willing to step out of his comfort zone and collaborate with other artists? What is wrong with that? Shouldn’t we appreciate the fact that Ed is not a mediocre singer? He is a versatile singer and there’s nothing wrong trying new styles in music.

I love how the majority of negative reviews on here were all before the album was released. New concept: I actually waited to buy & listen to the full album before rating it. That being said, this album is FIRE🔥! I’m a huge fan & some may think that’d make my review biased, but it’s the opposite. I’m a fan of his “regular” music so I didn’t expect to like the very different music of this album (based on the other artists). Of course, there are some songs I like more than others, but this album is fabulous & shows Ed’s diversity as an artist. I’ve been listening to this album on repeat since it’s release & don’t think I’m going to stop anytime soon. If you have a closed mind & only like a certain type of music, this isn’t for you. If your a music lover in general as I am, the different genres covered here is fantastic & you won’t be disappointed! P.S. Someone on here left a review saying that it was too many collaborations.🤦🏽‍♀️ I’m hoping it was a joke, but if not, are you f’n serious?! Maybe you need to read the album title again.🙄

I love this album. It’s obviously nothing like his solo albums and it’s not supposed to be. It’s a collab just like no 5 collab project. It’s great to hear how he sounds with other artists and how he can fit into any genre.
  • Good album overall

Before I start my review I would like to note that most of the negative reviews of this album have been written before the album was released and likely by people who didn’t buy the album. The album is a mix of many different genres and gives Ed a chance to show us his versatility as a musician. He raps over heavy hip-hop beats on antisocial and sings soulfully on the much slower Best Part of Me. Ed does a very good job with melodies and flows on this album. However the lyricism is lacking in comparison to his other albums. This makes sense however sense Ed was just trying to have fun with it saying it was more of an EP than an album. He said multiple times he doesn’t see this as the next step in his career but just a quickly put together fun album. While this definitely was not as good as his other albums it is hard to be disappointed by it knowing the background of the record. This is just Ed experimenting with foreign types of music and having a great time doing it. All that being said I still enjoyed all most every track on the album and will definitely have it on repeat all summer long!
